Want to know what it takes to become a millionaire entrepreneur in 2019? Are there secrets to becoming wealthy that are held back from the middle-class and poor? Well below, we are going to uncover and discuss exactly what these 5 undeniable traits you need to possess to be successful.
Don't Make Excuses
Have you ever heard of the phrase, "Excuses only satisfy the person who makes them."? In a world full of responsibilities to your job, husband, kids, friends, church and all the other things that life demands of you, all your time can seem already spoken for. And the energy it takes to accomplish all these things can leave you exhausted by the end of the day. Most believe they have every right to say that they don't have the time to pursue their business idea that's always bugging them late at night or when they're in the car alone.
But do you really have the right?
The right to forego what could change your family tree?
The right to rob the world of your gifts and talents?
The right to deny the greatness inside of you?
The right to refuse living your life on the highest level?
After all of that, doesn't it seem a little "selfish" to not pursue your dreams? And that's exactly what I wanted to get across to you today.
Millionaires don't make excuses, they get it done. They have the same amount of hours in a day just like you. You may only have 1 hour a day to work towards your dream, but that's WAY better than doing nothing at all. That daily habit of working on your business everyday builds momentum and before you know it, the business will begin to give back to you through profits that will help you free up more time so it can continue to grow.
You have to be crazy to be an entrepreneur. Only a small percentage of the population pursues entrepreneurship due to the risk, money investment, stress, and competition involved. Not to mention, branching out and thinking that "YOU" can create your own opportunity. That "YOU" have the power to sign your own paycheck. Now that's powerful.
The business world can be fierce and you'll only succeed as bad as you want to breathe. So it demands you to be crazy. It demands you to say, "I can offer something better to the marketplace compared to what currently exist." "I want to be featured by this publication so I can get exposure, I'm going to reach out to them." "No one in my family ever pursued business and I'm scared out of my mind ,but that won't stop me from going into business."
You have to be so crazy about the outcome that you become relentless on the actions it takes to get you there. PERIOD. And by the way, some people call this crazy.
Never Stop Learning
The wealthy never stops learning. Did you know that Warren Buffet reads 5-6 HOURS PER DAY! We're talking about the most successful investor of our time that is worth over $82 billion dollars as I write this article. How is it that he feels compelled to read when he has already obtained so much success?
According to Entrepreneur Magazine, CEO's read an average of 2-3 books a month. The main reason for this is to stay sharp and to constantly be open to improvement that comes from learning from others.
Don't have time to read? I don't have much time to sit and read myself with my large small family. However, I listen to an audiobook, business podcast or lecture every single day. I enjoy learning about taking my business to the next level.
Everybody wants to get rich quick or do just enough to make that quick buck. Short-term thinking leaves you with short-term results. When you have a mindset of getting in just to get out as soon as you got in, you're doomed to never build real sustainable wealth.
Your mindset is everything! The moment you shift your mindset from, "I need to make money off of this within the next 3-6 weeks" to "I will work this for 12-24 months to achieve this goal", your everyday tasks begin to show up differently. What does the to do list of a person trying to turn a quick profit look like versus a person that is willing to invest in tools, books, professional packaging, quality materials, and marketing since they are playing the long game. There is a big difference between someone just trying to make money and a true entrepreneur focused on making a difference in the world.
Another saying I heard from somewhere was that the richest place on Earth is the graveyard because it is full of unfulfilled dreams. There are no shortage of ideas in this world. You think the founders behind Uber, Amazon, Airbnb, Subway, Walmart and other companies wasn't thought of by someone else first? Better yet, have you ever had a brilliant idea, only to find out later that your ideas was a legitimate business. Or worse, you sat on the idea for YEARS and come to find out recently that someone decided to recently launch the idea and they're experiencing massive success.
Ouch, it hurts. So please don't let this happen to you. Go out there and execute on your ideas.
